About KEF

The Kasimu Education Fund (KEF) was organized in 2005 by Mary and Bob Burns and a Malawian, Father Peter Mulomole, a PhD candidate in Berkeley, California. The KEF organization consists of:
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization - all donations are tax deductible.

KEF has zero overhead – all operating expenses are paid by the KEF board members so that 100 percent of all donations goes to help the students.

developed a five-year plan that is updated annually.
nine members of the board of directors and five advisory board members
organized committees in Malawi that provide direct supervision of all operations at the schools.
